Challenge: to have Polly Pocket slide down the slide and land in the pool every time. This too a bit of engineering and trial and error. The final slide and pool was successful; Polly slides down the slides and lands in the pool every time.
Final outcome: The Adventure Hotel was a big hit. There were several fun stories being told with every twist of the knobs that changed the rooms, spinning elevator, and a slide that took you all the way outside into the pool.

Horsing Around is a refresh of an older SKU. We kept the name and theme, and redesigned the whole playset along with the horses and dolls.
Challenge 1: I worked on the fence being able to snap together with the help of an engineer, because tooling was a challenge. We designed it in a way that each end could be pushed in and snapped together. I also made the horse jump work for both horses by turning it upside down and have it lower for the little horse.
Challenge 2: I wanted all the pieces in there without it being cost-reduced. The solution was to mix &match the colors of buckets and mix & match the colors of the water bottle and the brush, and make the carrots all orange. Mixing and matching color means that some playsets will have the big bucket in pink and some will have it in purple.
Challenge 3: I added a clear doll holder on the big horse, so Polly could ride her horse.
The final outcome: The reviews were great for the new Horsing Around. One parent mentioned that they were happy there were many cute pieces in there like the apples and the carrots. One said that this was the best Polly Pocket Playset. For horse lovers, this playset was a big hit.

Challenge: to fit all the pieces inside a guitar bag and tell the story on the front. I laid the pieces down and the logo and an area for the illustration. I drew a guitar bag around it and a handle with music notes to trie the rockstar story together.
Final outcome: Rockin' Out was a hit among the music lovers and the future rockstars.
